Super Austenitic
Increasing the nickel, chromium, and molybdenum content while remaining in the austenitic field leads to special alloys with an elevated resistance to corrosion and a greater mechanical resistance with respect to common stainless steels in the AISI 300 series. The use of these materials in the chemical sector enables processing in the presence of phosphoric, sulphuric, and acetic acid as well as solutions containing chlorides or salt water. These are used in the production of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Alinox has stood out over the years for its production of heat exchangers and tanks in 904L (DIN 1.4539, EN X1NiCrMoCu25-20-5) and alloy 28 (DIN 1.4563 X1NiCrMoCuN-31-27-4).
